ABSTRACT
Supramolecular copolymerization from a mixture of comonomers with different hydrophilicities may offer an easy and convenient access to form thermoresponsive supramolecular copolymers varied phase transition temperatures by simply varying ratios the comonomers. Herein, dendronized (SDCPs) were constructed via host–guest interaction linear polymer carrying β-cyclodextrin units (the host) two adamantyl-cored second generation oligo(ethylene glycol) dendrons guests). The these SDCPs can be tuned continuously in range 34–56 °C dendritic guests. To check possible effects steric hindrance hydrophilicity guests on complexation, isothermal titration calorimetry was applied follow complexation process first (G1) (G2) Proton NMR spectroscopy utilized dehydration collapse processes SDCPs. It found that OEG initiated decomposition copolymers, more hydrophobic guest dissociated at much lower temperature than for hydrophilic one.
