ABSTRACT
The nature of plasmon-driven chemical reactions is experimentally investigated using high vacuum tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (HV-TERS). It revealed that the coupling between tip and substrate can produce intense plasmon resonance, which then decays to sufficient hot electrons thus catalyses reaction. photoelectron emission from laser illuminated silver alone cannot drive
