ABSTRACT
Polycrystalline GaN fibers have been produced by the polymer-derived-ceramic (PDC) technique. The wurtzite-polymorphic appear to emerge from complex nucleation and grain growth mechanisms, being mostly unconstrained during initial polymer ceramic conversion. importance of carrier architecture alignment is highlighted towards controlled microstructure.
