ABSTRACT
Here we report a facile hydrothermal route for the preparation of BiOBr–Bi2WO6 mesoporous nanosheet composites (MNCs) in presence titanium isopropoxide, Ti(OiPr)4. High resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption/desorption analysis and photoelectron spectroscopy were employed structural composition analyses MNCs. The photogenerated charge transfer photocatalytic activity MNCs investigated by Kelvin probe force microscopy UV-vis spectroscopy. We propose mechanisms to illustrate how alkoxide induces formation heterostructures enhanced photodecomposition efficiency dye under low light intensity illumination. Overall, our results suggest that is not only strongly involved growth BiOBr (001) facets, but also plays critical role pore evolution product. allows us conclude resulting nanocomposites demonstrate high mobility long lifetime. Dye molecules can be rapidly thoroughly decomposed with photocatalyst very attributed well matched band edge positions Bi2WO6 large specific surface area view incorporation mesopores highly exposed facet due use Ti(OiPr)4 during synthesis. presented here are expected make contribution toward development delicate water purification solar energy utilization.
