ABSTRACT
Lamellar hybrid inorganic/organic nanostructures comprising of alternating layers benzo[ghi]perylene monoimide and Cd-doped ZnO called BPyM/CZO nanohybrids have been synthesized electrochemically on Ga-doped ZnO/Si. In order to study the effect organic surfactant, inorganic CZO nanorods also synthesized. The role annealing surfactant morphology, structure, composition opto-electronic properties is analyzed. are c-axis oriented preferentially with their (002) direction perpendicular substrate surface. Annealed show visible orange photoluminescence emission while unannealed emit white at room temperature. annealed tend follow Varshni equation temperature variation from 80 K 300 K. Spectroscopic ellipsometry reveals thickness, refractive index band gap nanostructures. Annealing tends expand by 50 meV in case nanorods, but shrinks 20 for nanohybrids. Temperature dependent photosensitivity measurements reveal that highly photosensitive, ∼8 fold ∼4 higher than K, respectively. studies indicate hold potential as photosensors.
