Carrier trapping and recombination: the role of defect physics in enhancing the open circuit voltage of metal halide perovskite solar cells

We show that trapped electrons recombine with free holes unexpectedly slowly, on microsecond time scales, relaxing the limit obtainable open circuit voltage.
