ABSTRACT
We observed the dramatic enhancement of intrinsic spontaneous and stimulated emission as well ensuing suppression defect-related green in Au-decorated ZnO microrods. A series spectral experiments theoretical analysis demonstrated an electron transfer assisted process by surface plasmon (SP) resonant coupling between Au nanoparticles ZnO. The mechanism indicates approach to enhance UV through extra excitation visible light similar that for defect Based on mechanism, externally enhanced ultraviolet lasing was further improved from 1.5 2.8-fold adjusting pumping power intensity Au/ZnO hybrid cavity. This research not only confirms SPR-assisted but also offers improve even heavily-defected via a nonlinear process.
