A new iridium(<sc>iii</sc>) complex, Ir(ppy)₂(FBPIP)]PF₆ (<bold>Ir-1</bold>), was synthesized and characterized. The anticancer activity of the complex investigated by cytotoxicity <italic>in vitro</italic>, apoptosis, cell invasion, autophagy, cycle arrest western blot.
