ABSTRACT
Hybrid Fe3O4-Ag nanocrystals, a new type of highly efficient and reusable catalyst for methylene blue (MB) reduction, are fabricated by novel seed deposition process. X-ray diffraction Mössbauer spectroscopy results show that the developed iron oxides in pure magnetite Fe3O4 phase. Upon manipulating amount Ag seeds capsuled on modified surfaces catalytic capacities reduction MB can be precisely adjusted with tunable fabrication cost control. The linear correlation reduced concentration versus reaction time catalyzed our hybrid nanocrystals is coherent pseudo first order kinetics. Importantly, remarkable recyclability features, easily separated applying an external magnetic field. tailored performances during attributed to optimized dynamic electron transfer process, which dominates electrochemical mechanism wherein nucleophilic BH4 - ions donate electrons electrophilic organic through regulated amount. Such pave way towards mass production low catalysts reduction.
