ABSTRACT
An exciting electrochemical oxidation (EO) process has been developed. Compared with electro-Fenton (EF) and electro-coagulation (EC) processes, this had more advantages in the degradation of methylene blue. It is observed that blue can be quickly degraded by EO, which an iron rod used as anode, graphite a cathode, fly ash-red mud particles are particle electrodes. to EC EF processes affected specific pH values, EO excellent performance range 3.0-11.0. In addition, electric energy consumption (EEC) EF, 81.51, 36.55 21.35 kW h m-3 respectively, suggesting economical. The free radical scavenging mechanism i-PrOH studied, contribution EC, electrodes inferred. Particle before after use characterized SEM, EDS BET illustrate role system. Analysis flocs solutions FTIR GC-MS proves effectively degrade blue, route speculated. electrode dissolution experiment shows prepared considered suitable safe for wastewater treatment. Finally, actual surface water experiments, still great potential.
