ABSTRACT
To describe charge conduction in conducting polymers a dual transmission line with one resistance describing electronic motion the polymer and second ionic pores has proved applicable to number of systems. A further feature ac impedance plots for these is high-frequency semicircle. This may be attributed charge-transfer double-layer capacitance at either electrode/polymer or polymer/electrolyte interface. general expression such derived it shown that current will proportional difference Nernst potential across resistance. circuit element together capacity then combined line. obtained. Care taken use right potentials, Nernst, Donnan actual potential. Depending on relative resistances different types behaviour can found. In particular variation real part high frequency used determine whether electrode electrolyte The procedure exemplified results from polypyrrole.
