ABSTRACT
The calmodulin contents of rabbit brain, lung, kidney and liver, bovine aorta uterus, chicken gizzard have been determined. 2. in all these tissues has shown to be present the form very stable complexes with several other proteins. 3. A calmodulin-binding protein mol.wt. 22 000 purified high yield from brain. It interact skeletal-muscle troponin C a Ca2+-dependent manner. 4. 000-mol.wt. inhibits activation brain phosphodiesterase by calmodulin, but little affect on myosin light-chain kinase. 5. Calmodulin-binding proteins mol.wts. 140000, 77000 61000 also partially affinity chromatography manner calmodulin. 6. apparent molecular weights calmodulin-calmodulin-binding complexes, determined gel filtration presence 6M-urea, similar for most mammalian examined. 7. By using 125I-labelled demonstrated skeletal muscle, although they are at much lower concentrations.
