ABSTRACT
Purpose: Knowledge brokering is one tool to improve the lines of communication between clinicians and researchers with ultimate goal closing research practice gap. The following review article outlines definitions knowledge brokering; describes attributes activities brokering, including domains illustrates data support role provides a for teams reflect upon their own capabilities. Conclusions: practical tools decrease silos providing best care all populations that we serve. While are hopeful evidence will continue develop, there low-risk action items (e.g., active listening, relationship building across boundaries, appreciation diversity contexts in which clinical services delivered) readers could implement immediately.
