ABSTRACT
The present study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between maximum bite force and craniofacial morphology. Sixty-four Indonesian female dental students aged 19-27 years with normal occlusion served as subjects. Dental Prescale System used measure using a pressure sensitive sheets while morphology measurements were determined from conventional lateral radiograms. antero-posterior right-left position of occlusal load centre (the OLC) measured also. Stepwise multiple regression analysis performed correlation OLC related Fifty-five per cent could be explained by variations in posterior facial height, gonial angle, size maxilla, length cranial base. result showed larger implies greater smaller maxilla straighter This suggests that among Indonesians, found Caucasians. In addition, we proposed clinical standard for comprehensive evaluation occlusion.
