ABSTRACT
Leptospirosis is an often severe disease which requires prompt treatment. Laboratory testing required to reach a valid diagnosis. An agglutination assay for the detection of Leptospira‐specific antibodies consisting individually wrapped cards containing stable, dried reagent evaluated. The simply performed by suspending with drop serum. result obtained within 30 s. sensitivity varied stage and was 72.3% samples collected during first 10 days illness 88.2% at later stage. specificity 93.9% 89.8%, respectively. These characteristics make test ideal use in areas where common laboratory support not routinely available.
