ABSTRACT
This paper presents the design and simulation of a novel magnetic-geared outer-rotor permanent magnet (PM) brushless motor for direct drive with low speed. The proposed artfully integrates magnetic gear PM machine. It can reduce normal electric synchronous speed to operation be controlled conveniently. A 136 rpm 5 Nm prototype is successfully designed analyzed. Its performance verified finite element method (FEM).
