ABSTRACT
A structure of a compact ultra-wideband monopole antenna has been presented. The consists microstrip-fed rectangle radiator as well ground plane with slit and an L-shaped stub. critical factor in achieving small size is careful design procedure involving numerical optimisation all geometry parameters the aiming at explicit reduction while maintaining acceptable electrical performance. final exhibits dimensions only 9.45 × 18.5 mm footprint 175 mm2. Experimental validation comparisons competitive designs are also provided.
