ABSTRACT
Abstract Power transformers, a significant and critical component of power system, require regular condition monitoring by the utilities for uninterrupted supply. The kraft paper made cellulose is used as solid insulation transformer which undergoes thermal, electrical environmental stresses causing its progressive ageing. It thereby reduces physical strength ultimately affects transformer's remaining useful life (RUL). current state (physical) cellulosic (solid) insulating predicted in this article using fuzzy inference system (FIS) based RUL assessment technique. Three non‐destructive parameters, that is, 2‐Furfuraldehyde (2‐FAL), Carbon Monoxide (CO) dioxide (CO 2 ) are to determine value Degree Polymerisation (i.e. DP) directly reflects material. Four states (Healthy, Poor, Very Worst) identified on values DP. Five FIS models have been developed separately with different membership functions number if‐then rules formulated estimate Every model tested 30 test samples validate accuracy. estimated built trapezoidal function has found be considerably precise an average absolute deviation 0.33%. Hence, comprehensive health carried out prominent parameters.
