Effect of space charge accumulation on electric field distribution of high voltage cable

ABSTRACT
Space charge location and amount are key factors affecting the local insulation performance. This work focuses on effect of space distribution charges accumulation electric field HVDC cables. In experiment, dielectric properties conductivity specimen from operating cable measured. The simulation model cables is established, in layer calculated. experimental results indicate that constant XLPE gradually decreases with temperature, 2.43 at room temperature to 2.21 90°C. Conductivity increases 5.23×10-15S/m 1.58×10-12S/m parameters brought into calculation show maximum 24.5 kV/mm 26.2 when positive accumulate between inner semi-conductive layer, it 22.8 negative accumulate.
