ABSTRACT
In this study, an event-driven detection method based on pseudo-differential self-timed inverter-based incremental sigma-delta analogue-to-digital converter (IDC) is proposed and analysed, which adapted for sparse signal measurement. A judgment module implemented to detect whether the input of measurement system beyond a threshold or not. The will be converted by IDC only when it threshold. also in technique. technique designed simulated with 1.5-V supply voltage. achieves 12.8-bit ENOB at 2-KS/s conversion rate consumes 45 μW. Its figure-of-merit 3.1 pJ/step range 0–2.4 V. implemented. average power consumption related event ratio. With ratios 10, 20 30%, its 30, 34 37 μW, respectively. improves efficiency system.
