ABSTRACT
Power‐frequency parameters of long‐distance extreme‐high‐voltage (EHV) and ultra‐high‐voltage (UHV) transmission lines are the basis power system modelling analysis, but these especially difficult to accurately measure due reactance‐dominated nature strong external interference. An accurate power‐frequency parameter measurement approach is proposed in this study. The idea utilise frequency response curve indirectly extrapolate line at frequency. As no direct conducted frequency, potential interference avoided. A resonance‐based method employed eliminate effect large impedance phase angle EHV/UHV systems identify positive‐ zero‐sequence resistance with enhanced accuracy. In order validate effectiveness approach, a prototype instrument was developed used scale‐down laboratory system. Comparative results confirmed accuracy priority over existing methods. addition, anti‐interference performance terms impact parallel in‐service also indicates more advantageous as it has lower capacity requirement on device.
