ABSTRACT
Optimisation based design of finite impulse response (FIR) filters has been an active area research for quite some time. The various algorithms proposed FIR filter aim at meeting a set desired specifications in the frequency domain. Evolutionary have found to be very effective because non-linear, non-differentiable and non-convex nature associated optimisation problem. present work proposes two modified versions recently developed evolutionary technique i.e. artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm filters. applicability approach evaluated by comparing its with conventional reported techniques. variants ABC are outperform other achieving specifications. In addition simulation results, designed implemented hardware using Xilinx-xc7vx330t-3ffg1157 (Virtex-7) field programmable gate array. implementation allows validation techniques practical filtering applications considering real time operation parameters.
