ABSTRACT
Abstract The advantages, such as the mature control method, less volume of converter and generator, make doubly fed induction generator system prevalent in wind power industry. Nevertheless, is more susceptible to grid faults disturbances. instantaneous high voltage fault may occur due excessive local reactive after achieving low ride through, then turbine might be disconnected again. Hence, not only through but also capability should required for meet code requirements. A comprehensive review state art technologies presented. Firstly, different types common techniques are classified according their features, i.e. auxiliary hardware, linear or nonlinear strategies etc. pros cons given. Furthermore, latest developments introduced. Finally, future trends both discussed.
