The Establishment of Young – ESTES: from Colleagues to Friends

The lack of young surgeons is not only a problem in Germany, but also throughout Europe. This has been recognized by the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES). Therefore, in Fall 2022, representatives of the ESTES board approached young surgeons from their countries to create a formation of a junior group within the multinational European Society.
