ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to assess the effects resistance training on ladders (RTL) MMP−2 expression and blood lactate concentration [La−]. 30 male (3 months age), albino rats were divided into 3 groups: sedentary control (SC, n=10), low exercise (Low-IntRT, n=10) high-intensive (High-IntRT, n=10). Animals High-IntRT submitted a progressively increasing overload in relation body weight until exhaustion, while Low-IntRT group performed same regimen with no external load. program had frequency times per week over 8 weeks. tibialis anterior muscle [La−] measured. While there significant increase (pro-form) both groups, only significantly increased active-form (p<0.05). Both trained groups exhibited an when compared controls, however, higher Strong correlation found between (active form) (r=0.91). RTL using high-intensity can serve as model demonstrate different responses animal model. It appears active form is modulated by intensity.
