ABSTRACT
Autoimmune chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis appears in two forms, goitrous and atrophic. The evidence available is not enough to prove that the precedes atrophic form, but immunogenetic analysis suggests they may be distinct entities. distribution of HLA class II alleles DRB1* DQB1* was verified patients from region Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil with both forms thyroiditis. Ninety-one primary hypothyroidism through autoimmune were classified as - 54 patients, 42.27 ± 11.72 years old, having had for 8.57 6.63 or 37 42.72 12.01 6.73 4.07 years. determined, genotyped after purifying DNA blood samples using DNAzol technique, low-resolution PCR-SSP system utilized determination generic alleles. Chi-square Fisher’s exact test compare frequency significant p-values subjected Bonferroni correction. We have demonstrated DRB1*04 allele associated thyroiditis, there are genotypic differences regarding presentation a strong association between DQB1*03 form only.
