ABSTRACT
The reaction of chitosan beads with Pd(OAc)2 gave chitosan-supported palladium(II). Then the palladium(II) in was converted into palladium(0) (polymeric Pd 1) by treatment hydrazine hydrate. chitosan-palladium polymeric composite 1 crosslinked diglycidyl ether polyethylene glycol to yield catalyst 2. Suzuki cross-coupling various aryl halides and boronic acids carried out catalyst 2 water under microwave-irradiation conditions afford corresponding biaryl compounds 14-98% yield. presence tetrabutylammonium bromide accelerated reaction.
