Abstract We contend that the Uppsala internationalisation process (IP) Model offers basis, yet unrealised, for a theory of growth internationalising firm. From Model’s origins, particularly in Penrosean theory, we develop this potential by offering extension explicates organisational changes within firm required to sustain international growth.
