ABSTRACT
Single-vehicle crashes contribute to more fatalities compared other crash types in the United States. Based on age group, risk factors associated with single-vehicle fatal were between older drivers and who have been involved at intersections Midwest region. In this study, a data set was gathered for five years from Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) database. Two separate logistic regression models developed predict by drivers. Risk affecting toward increased identified each comparisons made intention of identifying suitable countermeasures. The effect these strongly influential driver predictors that increase both groups controlled intersections, two-way undivided highways, reduced speed limits, urban roadway locations, driving during nighttime, rollover or hitting animals. Additionally, under influence alcohol drugs determinants elevated but not study findings are helpful investigating potential ways improving safety only drivers, also all road users.
