Low-loss Ti:LiNbO3 intersecting waveguides

ABSTRACT
Interactions between guided and radiation modes are studied experimentally in Ti:LiNbO3 single-mode, single-Δn intersecting waveguides with small angles. These measurements, which cannot be interpreted terms of any previous theory for waveguides, can understood a recently developed multiple scattering analysis. Furthermore, it is found that the losses optical switches crossovers dramatically reduced by fractional doping intersection region.
