ABSTRACT
Chemically synthesized InP/ZnS core/shell quantum dots (QDs) are studied using time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction. Zinc stearate, which is added during the synthesis of InP core, significantly improves optical characteristics QDs. The luminescence yield (QY) reaches 60%–70% emission tunable from 485 to 586 nm by varying Zn2+:In3+ molar ratio growth temperature. observed increased Stokes shift, decay time, QY in presence Zn rationalized formation an In(Zn)P alloy structure that causes band-edge fluctuation enhance confinement excited carriers.
