ABSTRACT
The Comet Physics Laboratory (CoPhyLab) is an international research program to study the physical properties of cometary analog materials under simulated space conditions. project dedicated studying, with help multiple instruments and different expertise background from partners, physics comets, including processes inside nuclei, activity leading ejection dust gas, sub-surface surface evolution nuclei when exposed solar illumination. CoPhyLab will provide essential information on formation comets insights into origins primitive Solar System bodies. To this end, we constructed a new laboratory that hosts several small-scale experiments large-scale comet-simulation chamber (L-Chamber). This has been designed host ice-dust samples diameter up 250 mm variable height between 100 300 mm. cometary-analog be kept at temperatures below 120 K pressures around 10-6 mbar ensure cometary-like In total, 14 scientific are attached L-Chamber temporal sample insolation Due implementation scale can measure weight changes high precision, cooling system mechanically decoupled holder occurs by radiation only. allows us conduct uninterrupted low weeks.
