ABSTRACT
Aligned with the recent trend and imperative to reduce separation layer thickness in gas membranes nanometer scale order raise permeance levels that can render them competitive respect other technologies, a novel approach device for fabricating defect-free composite hollow fiber (HF) by dip-coating is described. The presented method avoids fundamental drawbacks of state-of-the-art techniques applying thin onto porous HF substrate, providing safe but, at same time, easily up-scalable way producing relatively high production rate. As basic concept, hanging substrates are coated allowing coating solution flow drip along their external surface. adaptability this method, stemming from array available solutions (a plethora dispersed nanofillers) multitude substrate options, holds great promise fabrication highly selective membranes.
