ABSTRACT
Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions were calculated using the method recommended by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2019 Refinement. This calculation showed that highest GHG emission in livestock subsector comes from beef cattle. subcategory has largest population West Sumatera contributed 2.38% and 2.35% of total cattle Indonesia 2020 2021, respectively. study aims to evaluate gap 2021. The was Tier 2 method. used data provided Statistic Agency's report. Sources this enteric fermentation (CH4) manure management (CH4, direct indirect N2O). Results 2021 consisted 0.446 0.453 Gg ton CO2−eq, While 0.106 0.108 There is a 1.56% difference between increment 21.08% Mentawai Islands Regency, while lowest decrement 12.38% Bukittinggi municipality. These trends are caused significant increase or decrease population. It concluded higher compared management. Improvement mitigation actions for Regency lower required be priority focus Sumatera's program.
