ABSTRACT
Evaluation of the proliferation activity neuromas has a practical meaning when there are doubts about complete resection tumor. clinical aspects connected with increased may have much broader application. The aim this study was to correlate selected and radiologic vestibular schwannomas results Ki‐67 index. studied group included 23 males 20 females. Unilateral were stated in 38 cases (mean age, 52.2 years) bilateral tumors 5 44.2 years). immunohisto‐chemical tests (Ki‐67) performed on specimens preserved formalin stored paraffin. index estimated semiquantitative study. mean value 1.86%. In case unilateral (n = 38), average 1.74%. tumors, amounted 2.79% ( P 0.278). No significant correlation found by comparing age patients 0.410: r 0.128). Significant differences noted subgroups that evaluated radiologically as growing stable. 3.17% first subgroup; stable neuromas, it significantly lower, amounting 1.11% 0.020). Such confirm growth rate varies explain difficulties estimating basis only.
