ABSTRACT
A feeding strategy that requires a forage:concentrate ratio equal to 70:30, with at least five different herbs in the forage and use of silages prohibited, has recently been introduced Italy. Despite benefits terms human health (lower ω6:ω3 ratio, higher conjugated linoleic acid level) obtained milk, little information regarding possible effects on cows’ is available. The aim this study was evaluate such dairy cows (90 days milk beginning trial) yield composition, blood metabolic profile, including evaluation oxidative stress. proposed strategy, compared semi-intensive resulted an improvement animal status levels reactive oxygen metabolites, antioxidant potential anti-reactive metabolites) significant increase urea only first part trial. No differences composition were detected throughout
