New preliminary records of the Ranong guitarfish (Rhinobatos ranongensis Last, Séret & Naylor, 2019) in Southwest Aceh, Indonesia

We recorded 23 Ranong guitarfish (Rhinobatos ranongensis) in Southwest Aceh, Indonesia. Measured specimens ranged between 72 and 87 cm total length. There are 20 species (Genus Rhinobatos) so far, three of them have been Indonesia: Jimbaran shovelnose ray jimbaranensis), Indonesian pengali) Shaw’s thouiniana). Rhinobatos ranongensis is listed as Vulnerable by IUCN found the Eastern Indian Ocean. The only samples from Andaman Sea, Myanmar western Thailand. that landed Aceh first Indonesia largest ever recorded.
