ABSTRACT
The aim of genetic improvement in cattle breeding is to create animals, which are characterised by high economic efficiency while maintaining the values for health and reproduction traits. In Russia dairy industry integrated approaches based on application genomic methods cows’ fertility traits along with milk production being developed. However, their depends largely ability multiple replicating outstanding individuals embryo transfer. Therefore, target our research was develop a strategy improvements udder towards embryos estimated (EBV). We analysed culling factors more than 23,400 Black-and-White Holstein cows Moscow region population. Using genotyping procedure Illumina Bovine SNP50 BeadChip (Illumina Inc., San Diego, CA, USA), regional training group consisted 401 proven bulls 60 pre-selected formed. After quality check Plink 1.90, we selected 39,631 single nucleotide polymorphisms analysis. GBLUP methodology used calculate EBV (GEBV). were additionally tested PCR or PCR-RFLP (restricted fragment length polymorphism) LoF mutations genes FANCI, APAF1, SMC2, GART, ITGB2, SLC35A3, APOB, associated haplotypes HH0, HH1, HH34, HH4, HHB, HHC, HCD, respectively. evaluation variances days open (DO), per conception (BC), calving ease (CE), somatic cell score (SCS), yield (MY), fat (FY), protein (PY) carried out using BLUPF90 family programs. Cows’ rate reproductive 21% diseases 8%. correlations, rg, between SCS rg = 0.132 BC, 0.067 DO, –0.056 CE that can be as an indicator monitoring disorders at different stages lactation. frequencies haplotypes’ carriers among potential donor dams 6.6, 1.1, 8.8, 0.0, 4.4% HH3, Based carrier status mutations, 46 28 sires produce GEBV MY (+633, ..., +884 kg), FY (+26 PY (+18 (106 points) higher population average Genome-wide association study analysis reliability Bonferroni correction test (P < 1.2 × 10−6) showed presence quantitative trait loci BTA1, BTA5, BTA9, BTA11, BTA12, BTA27, BTX. Our results will construct Russian fitness index implementing technology into system. Research supported Science Foundation within Project no. 15-16-00020.
