ABSTRACT
By using a whole-genome oligonucleotide microarray, designed based on known and predicted indica rice genes, we investigated transcriptome profiles in developing leaves panicles of superhybrid LYP9 its parental cultivars 93-11 PA64s. We detected 22,266 expressed genes out 36,926 total set collectively from 7 tissues, including at seedling tillering stages, flag booting, heading, flowering, filling stage. Clustering results showed that the F1 hybrid's expression resembled those lines more than which lies between 2 lines. Out gene set, 7,078 are shared by all sampled tissues 3,926 (10.6% set) differentially (DG). As divided DG into parents (DG(PP)) hybrid (DG(HP)), comparative categories energy metabolism transport enriched DG(HP) rather DG(PP). In addition, correlated concurrence yield-related quantitative trait loci, providing potential group heterosis-related genes.
