ABSTRACT
An attractive strategy to overcome multidrug resistance in cancer chemotherapy is suppress P-glycoprotein (P-gp), which a pump overproduced cells remove cytotoxic drugs from cells. In the present study, Ca 2+ -permeable channel TRPC5 was found be together with P-gp adriamycin-resistant breast cell line MCF-7/ADM. Suppressing activity/expression reduced induction and caused remarkable reversal of adriamycin an athymic nude mouse model human tumor, suppressing decreased growth tumor xenografts. Nuclear factor activated T isoform c3 (NFATc3) transcriptional that links activity production. Together, we demonstrated essential role TRPC5–NFATc3–P-gp signaling cascade drug-resistant
