ABSTRACT
Significance Members of the AT-HOOK MOTIF CONTAINING NUCLEAR LOCALIZED ( AHL ) family are involved in various plant biological processes. Our findings reveal a molecular model whereby AHLs interact with each other via and prokaryote conserved (PPC)/domain unknown function #296 (DUF296) domain to form homo-/hetero-complexes, possibly trimers. The complex also interacts nuclear proteins macromolecular that modulates growth development. coordinated action requires an AT-hook motif capable binding AT-rich DNA, as well PPC/DUF296 containing six-amino-acid region. proposed provides better understanding roles genes regulating development, which may turn lead seedling establishment increased yield.
