ABSTRACT
Significance The blood–brain barrier (BBB) prevents ingress of small molecules into the brain partly by expression drug efflux transporters. Although several transporters are known to be involved, role ABCG2 plays in this process is not clear. We demonstrate ability image function at BBB using luciferin a luciferase-expressing mouse. This represents direct measurement BBB, and demonstrates that does play functional BBB.
