ABSTRACT
Significance The Crumbs–PALS1–PATJ complex is vital for the development and maintenance of polarity diverse tissues. Defects in formation are known to cause diseases such as cancer blindness. highly conserved cytoplasmic tail transmembrane protein Crumbs responsible apical targeting complex. However, molecular basis governing specific Crumbs–PALS1 poorly understood. We discovered that PDZ–SH3–GK tandem PALS1 forms a structural supramodule interacting with large part high affinity specificity, supporting apical–basal epithelial cells. Our work suggests general property MAGUKs recognizing targets.
