ABSTRACT
Significance We have shown that the growth hormone-releasing hormone–growth hormone–insulin-like factor-1 (GHRH–GH–IGF1) axis is involved in experimentally induced acute inflammation iris and ciliary body, where its activation associated with inflammatory responses. Blocking GHRH–GH–IGF1 activity by GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) antagonist effective alleviating These findings demonstrate a novel of signaling ocular suggest potential therapeutic application GHRH-R antagonist.
