ABSTRACT
The generation cycle of an established line rat hepatoma cells (HTC cells) was studied using synchronized cell techniques. Dexamethasone phosphate (Dex), a synthetic adrenal corticosteriod which induces tyrosine aminotransferase (TAT) in HTC randomly distributed the cycle, did not affect durations various phases cycle. activities TAT and several dehydrogenases, rates general protein RNA synthesis, were throughout cycle.Dex, at 10(-5)M, when added to population latter two thirds G1 phase or anywhere S phase, TAT. During period made up G2, M, early G1, Dex does induce However, radioisotope incorporation into specifically immunoprecipitated continues during mitosis, synthesis are decreased.
