ABSTRACT
A monoclonal antibody has been prepared against rat angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). By selection for binding to endothelial cells of bovine rather than origin we have obtained a reagent that broad cross-species properties and can at the same time serve as useful marker surface cells. The IgM-producing clone established, alpha-ACE 3.1.1, grown in ascites form yield fluid binds selectively immobilized ACE greater 1:10,000 dilution. use enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, immunofluorescence histology, flow cytometry, demonstrated presence on murine, bovine, human origin. means fluorescence-activated cell sorter (FACS-IV) able isolate viable from mixture fibroblasts. We believe will be not only vitro cultivation but also tool identification pharmacological study ACE.
