ABSTRACT
Tenascin is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein that not present in the normal mature rat mammary gland. The distribution of tenascin was examined by immunohistochemistry tumors from carcinogen-treated and untreated rats, virus-induced mice, a variety gland lesions humans. detectable stroma malignant but benign all species. An inhibition ELISA, testing homogenates tumors, confirmed tumors.
