ABSTRACT
The estrogen receptor (ER) is a ligand-dependent transcription factor that regulates expression of target genes in response to concert with other cellular signaling pathways. This suggests the mechanism by which ER transmits an activating signal general machinery may include factors integrate these diverse signals. We have previously characterized receptor-associated protein, ERAP160, as complexes agonist-dependent manner. now found transcriptional coactivator p300 associates agonist bound and augments activation ER. Our studies show complex involves direct hormone-dependent interaction between resulting recruitment p300. In addition, antibodies directed against cloned steroid 1 (SRC1) recognize ERAP160. known role multiple transduction pathways, including those involving second messenger cAMP, functions point integration
