Effective learning and testing of bird identification skills

ABSTRACT
Biology education worldwide at different levels involves learning to identify plants and animals in nature. The aim of this study was investigate the effectiveness a teaching method for bird identification that combines active outdoor fieldwork with online learning, testing validity our instrument. Altogether, 798 853 students cultural socio-political backgrounds from nine countries participated 2010–2018. research an test beginning study, field end period, exam study. results showed great progression positive correlation between initial skills skills. Finally, strong taken simultaneously, thus indicating functional competence can be measured exam. We recommend instrument students' species all taxa, but further effects is recommended.
