ABSTRACT
This paper examines the dynamic performance of pantograph passing through an overlap section catenary system, using a China's high speed railway with 4-span as example. The and system are simulated lumped mass model finite element model, respectively. is verified according to EN50318:2018. also assessed against experimental study contact force uplift wire at 300 km/h. Then 150–350 km/h calculated. research shows that when passes overlap, maximum increases beyond 14%, standard deviation by more than 26%, increase vertical displacement exceeds 38%, which becomes apparent speed. Under influence aerodynamic force, running from 150 350 km/h, mean in knuckle-downstream knuckle-upstream orientation 59.49% 97.85%, As result, greatly section, could affect current collection quality.
